Canva is a layout product that added generation. Venice is a generation product. You still need a layout tool after the still exists.

Use Venice when the prompt should not sit inside a design-account history Canva can train or review under its terms.

Z-Image Turbo and Chroma give you the still. Canva still wins at one-click social sizes, brand kits, and magic resize.

Venice does not use your prompts to train AI models. It does not replace Canva's template library.

If your team lives in Canva because of approval workflows, keep Canva for the deck. Generate the hero image here and import the PNG.

Free Venice image use is 15 per day. Canva's generator caps depend on your Canva plan. They are not comparable line for line.

• Describe the one picture you need, not a whole Canva template. “Make a Canva template” will give you a picture of a template.

• Name the subject, the background color, and the shape: square for a post, tall for a story, wide for a header.

• If you will place type on top in Canva, ask for empty space. Say “leave the top third plain.”

• Lock a background color in the prompt if you will cut it out later.

• Generate square and tall versions as two prompts if you need both. Venice will not magic-resize like Canva.

• Keep words in the picture short. Put headlines in Canva, not in the image prompt.

• Export a PNG, then set fonts and margins in Canva. Venice makes the picture. Canva makes the page.

• If you need 50 sizes of one logo, stay in Canva. If you need 50 different scenes, prompt those scenes here.

• Feed brand colors as plain words: “navy and cream, no neon.” Do not expect Venice to load your Canva brand kit.

• If the deck is due tomorrow, use the still you have and layout in Canva.

• Agree on file type first: PNG for screens, high-quality JPEG for photo-like stills.

• Ask for a simple background if the picture will sit behind text in Canva.

• Generate larger than you need for print, then place it on the page in Canva.

• If Magic Studio is already good enough for the job, stay there. Switching mid-campaign slips dates.

• Train your team on the split: pictures here, decks there. Mixed workflows mix logs too.

• Say “no mockup of a laptop or billboard” if you only need the still. Fake chrome wastes a generation.

• If the picture will sit in a grid with other assets, ask for matching light. For example: “same overcast daylight.”

• If you only need a still for a slide, say the slide size in the prompt so the crop matches the deck.
