ChatGPT is strong at everyday Q&A and at remembering your preferences across weeks. That memory is also the reason some teams cannot use it.

Venice does not use what you type to train AI models. On Kimi K2.5, Venice does not save your chats on its computers. Your history stays in your browser instead of a long-lived OpenAI profile.

You still get named frontier AI models. GPT-4o and GPT-5.5 are in Venice's library. Venice hides who you are. OpenAI still receives the content.

ChatGPT puts chat and pictures in one thread. Agent mode at venice.ai/chat/agent can do that too, plus video. Studio at venice.ai/studio is there if you want a dedicated image workspace.

If you need Claude's editing or Grok 4.6's very long thread, those sit beside GPT in the same picker. ChatGPT's app does not give you that mix.

Free Venice text use is 10 requests per day, plus 15 images. ChatGPT's free tier is a different basket of limits. Compare the job, not the logo.

• Say the job in the first sentence: write, explain, plan, or debug. “Help me” is too vague.

• Give the reader, the length, and the tone. For example: “120 words, calm, for a parent who is not technical.”

• Paste the facts the AI model may use. Then say “Do not add facts I did not paste.”

• If you used to rely on ChatGPT memory, paste the few preferences that matter this time. Venice will not remember last month unless you import memories.

• Ask for two versions when you are unsure: a short one and a detailed one. Keep the one you can stand behind.

• For current events, say you need today's information. Otherwise the answer may sound up to date when it is not.

• Keep secrets on Kimi K2.5. If you switch to GPT on Venice, OpenAI still reads your words even if Venice hides who you are.

• For pictures or video, stay in agent mode at venice.ai/chat/agent. It can write text, make images, and make video in the same conversation. Open Studio at venice.ai/studio when you want extra control over the still.

• For code, name the language and version. Paste the error. Ask for a small change, not a whole new file.

• If a reply cites a source, ask for a link and open it yourself.

• Start a new chat when the task changes. A long thread mixes old instructions with new ones.

• Try the same prompt once in both tools if you still have ChatGPT. Keep the answer you are allowed to use.

• Ask for a version with no hype words if you are writing for work.

• If you import ChatGPT memories, say which ones this new chat may use.

• When both tools refuse a prompt, the refusal is probably the law, not a brand quirk.
